Corn Plasters - Urgo

Thanks to their hydrocolloid mass, URGO Corn Treatment plasters relieve pain from the first application and eliminate pressure areas from shoe friction. In addition, the emollient and moisturizing action of glycerine helps to gently soften and remove the corn. Ultra-thin and transparent, they ensure total comfort and discretion for treating corns.

Instructions for use:

  1. Ensure that the skin around the corn shows no lesions, wounds, or redness.
  2. Soak the foot for 10 minutes in warm water.
  3. Clean and disinfect the corn and its surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). Rinse and then dry with a sterile compress or allow to air dry.
  4. Warm the plaster between your hands.
  5. Remove the first protective tab without touching the central adhesive part of the plaster.
  6. Apply the hydrocolloid plaster centered on the corn; the corn must be completely covered by the plaster.
  7. Remove the second protection by smoothing and pressing the edges of the plaster to increase adhesion. Renew the plaster according to instructions, on average once a day, or when it starts to wrinkle. The plaster should not remain in place for more than 2 to 3 days, after which it must be removed if it has not come off by itself.
  8. Once the plaster has come off, remove/scrape off the excess softened skin from the surface of the corn and apply a new plaster if necessary, following the instructions for use.

Indications/precautions:

  • Hydrocolloid plaster, non-sterile, indicated for corn treatment
  • Do not cut. For single use, do not reposition a plaster once applied, do not reuse the same plaster (risk of poor hygiene and non-adhesion),
  • Do not apply to damaged skin or a wound (risk of infection)
  • Do not apply a plaster or remove an already applied plaster and consult a doctor or podiatrist:
    – in case of worsening of the corn or no improvement within 6 days of treatment,
    – in case of signs of infection (redness, pain, heat, swelling around the wound, pus, etc.)
  • Diabetic patients are advised to use hydrocolloid plasters only under medical or nursing supervision.
  • In case of sticky hydrocolloid residues on the skin, soaking in water is recommended: the adhesive will swell, lose its stickiness, and detach.
  • Do not use these plasters for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • Store the plasters in their original box.
  • The product should be applied by an adult for children under 16 years of age.

Adverse effects:

  • This plaster may cause skin reactions such as redness, irritation, dermatitis, or pain upon removal.

To minimize any risk of infection or skin reactions:

  • Strictly follow the instructions for use. Do not reuse a used plaster.
  • Do not apply to eyes or mucous membranes. Do not use after the expiration date. Do not use a damaged product.

Any serious incident related to this product must be reported to Laboratoires URGO HEALTHCARE and the Agence Nationale des Produits de Santé (ANSM).
