Description

Corn and Bunion Plasters - Urgo

Thanks to their hydrocolloid mass, URGO Treatment Corn & Bunion plasters relieve pain from the first application, eliminate pressure points, and protect against shoe friction. Additionally, the emollient and moisturizing action of glycerin gently softens and removes the corn. Ultra-thin and transparent, they ensure complete discretion to treat nascent calluses.

Instructions for use:

  1. Ensure that the skin of the corn/bunion shows no lesions, wounds, or redness.
  2. Soak the foot for 10 minutes in warm water.
  3. Clean and disinfect the corn/bunion and its surrounding area with an antiseptic solution (alcohol-free). Rinse and then dry with a sterile compress or allow to air dry.
  4. Warm the plaster between your hands.
  5. Remove the first protective tab without touching the central adhesive part of the plaster.
  6. Apply the hydrocolloid plaster centered on the corn/bunion. The corn/bunion must be completely covered by the plaster.
  7. Remove the second protection by smoothing and pressing the edges of the plaster to increase adhesion.

Replace the plaster according to the instructions, on average once a day, or when it starts to crease. The plaster should not remain in place for more than 2 to 3 days, after which it should be removed if it has not come off on its own.

  1. Once the plaster is removed, remove/scrape off the excess softened skin on the surface of the corn/bunion and apply a new plaster if necessary, following the instructions for use.

Indications/precautions:

  • Hydrocolloid plaster, non-sterile, indicated for corn treatment.
  • Single use. Do not cut. Do not reposition a plaster once applied (risk of poor hygiene and non-adherence).
  • Do not apply to a wound, mucous membrane, or irritated or damaged skin (risk of infection).
  • Do not apply a plaster or remove an already applied plaster and consult a doctor or podiatrist:
    – in case of worsening of the corn/bunion or no improvement within 6 days of treatment,
    – in case of signs of infection (redness, pain, heat, swelling around the wound, pus, etc.)
    – in case of doubt or discomfort.
  • Diabetic patients are advised to use hydrocolloid plasters only under medical supervision.
  • In case of sticky hydrocolloid residue on the skin, soaking in water is recommended.
  • Replace the plaster on average once a day. Do not use for more than 30 consecutive days.
  • Store plasters in their original box.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • The product should be applied by an adult for children under 16 years of age.
