NYLEXOGRIP - Cohesive Compression Bandages - 3 m - Urgo
Nylexogrip is an elastic cohesive compression bandage indicated in sports traumatology, for the prevention of accidents such as sprains, dislocations and subluxations, and for the treatment of strains and muscle tears.
But that's not all, it can also be used to hold dressings in place.
Nylexogrip is an aerated and conformable bandage that adheres only to itself, not to skin or hair. It can be cut without scissors, making it very easy to use.
Its practical advantage: the bandage is also washable up to 2 times and therefore reusable!
Instructions for use:
1. To avoid a tourniquet effect, do not apply the bandage with too much tension and unroll 20 to 30 cm of bandage before each turn.
2. Apply a 1st complete turn on the part of the body to be protected, then a 2nd turn completely covering the 1st.
3. Continue bandaging so that each new turn covers approximately half of the surface of the previous turn's bandage.
4. To ensure good hold of the bandage, the last turn should not be in contact with the skin but should completely cover the previous turn. It should be applied without tension. If necessary, cut the remaining bandage by hand (no scissors needed).
5. Finish the bandaging by pressing the end of the bandage with the palm of your hand for a few seconds.
6. Care:
– Hand wash or machine wash at a maximum of 40°C, with a standard detergent.
– Rinse and lay flat to dry.
– Once the bandage is completely dry, re-roll it on itself, store it in a clean, dry place away from light.
Precautions for use:
- Do not wash the bandage more than twice to prevent deterioration.
- Never apply the bandage directly to damaged skin (risk of infection and/or delayed healing process).
- The bandage should not be stretched to its maximum to avoid creating a tourniquet effect. The embossing of the bandage should always remain visible.
- If discomfort occurs, reduce the applied tension.
- In phlebology, the bandage should be applied before getting up – starting from the toes, moving up the leg – and kept on until bedtime.
- In cases of prolonged or repeated use, elastic threads may be weakened by the use of oily substances under the bandage.
- Treatment of traumatic and phlebitic pathologies with Nylexogrip should be supervised by a healthcare professional.
To minimize any risk of infections or skin reactions:
- Strictly follow the instructions for use.
- Do not apply to eyes, thin skin, or mucous membranes. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the box. Do not use a damaged or soiled product.
Contraindications:
Do not use the bandage in case of:
- Allergy to latex or another component
- Low blood pressure (< 8 mmHg systolic)
- Grade III and IV sprains (risk of thrombosis, ischemia)
- Infectious ulceration
Do not use on body areas presenting:
- Arterial pathology (microangiopathy related to diabetes, arterial ulcers or with a strong arterial component; proven or suspected arteriopathy: risk of thrombosis, ischemia).
- Phlegmasia coerulea dolens (painful blue phlebitis with arterial compression), septic thrombosis.
