Sterile compresses for families and infants - Urgo

Non-woven sterile compresses for families & infants are indicated for cleaning superficial wounds. They have a soft texture to gently clean wounds or everyday minor injuries. They are hypoallergenic and sterile for optimal hygiene.

Instructions for use:

Wound cleaning / dressing preparation:

1. Wash hands with soap and water.
2. Open a sachet sterilely.
3. Clean and disinfect the wound and its surroundings with a compress, an antiseptic solution or other active ingredient, then dry the wound with a compress.
4. If necessary, perform hemostasis (stop bleeding by a physical method).
5. Depending on the size of the wound and the amount of exudate, cover the wound with one or two compresses.
6. Secure with adhesive tape or any other fixation method.
7. Change the dressing, according to the instructions, once or twice a day as prescribed, depending on the condition of the wound or dressing.

Healthy skin cleaning:

1. Open a sachet sterilely.
2. Use a compress to clean the desired area, using physiological saline if necessary.

Precautions:

• Regularly monitor a wound and its surroundings for any signs of infection such as pain, redness, swelling, odor, or discharge.
• In case of doubt or infection, contact a doctor or nursing service.
• Single-use sterile compresses: do not reuse, do not store compresses in an open sachet, do not reposition an already applied compress, otherwise there is a risk of infection.
• In case of redness, irritation, discontinue use.
• Compresses sterilized with ethylene oxide, do not resterilize. Check the integrity of the sterility protector before use. Do not use if the packaging is damaged.
• Do not use compresses for more than 30 consecutive days without interruption.
• Do not use after the expiry date (indicated on the sachet and on the box).
• Store the compress sachets in their original box.

Composition: Viscose, polyester.

Sizes: 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm. Available in boxes of 20 or 50 compresses.
